How to conceal dark circles

Those pesky dark circles prevent perfectly pretty peepers but in my 'how to' beauty tips, I'll show you my way of concealing, conning and craftily covering those circles. Firstly, to conceal dark circles, it's best to understand what they are and how we get them. It's all well using a fabulous pot of concealer but simple things like sleep and diet and help too. Have a think about why you might have them... early mornings and late nights? Not so healthy diet? Do you cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturize regular? There is many expert advice out there from skin care books to Google. If you have a spare 5 minutes or a free afternoon, spend some time reading up and researching. So say "Chao!" to those circles and I'll show you my way of concealing!

Firstly, I like to think of concealing my dark circles in 2 parts: skin care and makeup. For the skin care around my eyes I use 2 Liz Earle products as I find them extremely gentle and kind to the delicate eye area. After cleansing, exfoliation, toning and moisturizing, I pop a small amount of the Eye Bright on 2 cotton pads and place them over my eyes and leave on for 5 minutes. After, I apply a small amount of Daily Eye Repair and gently massage this in until its all absorbed.

1. I start off by using my Sigma brush and MAC concealer and apply a little around my eyes and blend this in. I find it creamy and easy to work with and actually covers my circles up!
2. Next I work my way through the Benefit Peek-a-Bright eyes kit as I find this really opens up my eyes and gives me the appearance of a well-rested look. I love the pot of Eye Bright inside the kit as it eradicates the dark circles and brightens up my eyes.

While this combination might seem a lot to some people, I really find it helps cover my dark eye circles, brightens and gives a well-rested look whilst making me feel more confident.
